A video without a transcript is invisible to half the internet
Search engines have gotten better at video. AI assistants have not — they cannot watch anything. If your story only exists as footage, a growing share of research never finds it.
A well-produced business video does a lot of things a written page cannot. It conveys warmth, competence and physical reality in ninety seconds. What it cannot do is be read.
That mattered less when search meant ten blue links. It matters more now that a meaningful share of research happens through AI assistants, which do not execute JavaScript, do not watch video, and answer from text.
The remedy costs almost nothing. Transcribe the video and publish the transcript on the same page. You gain indexable text, you meet accessibility requirements you likely already owe, and you give every viewer the option of reading instead of watching — which more of them prefer than you would guess.
